RIC LEVEL II – Advanced skills and firefighter survival training

This 14-hour class is designed to teach more advanced RIT skills to firefighters who have taken the RIC I class (prerequisite).  The class is 90% hands on, with a short classroom session the first day.  The lecture will focus on the RIT search with a Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC), and an in depth review of rope assisted search procedures (RASP) to be used by RIC teams. The class will build upon the standard RIC techniques previously taught and will enable students to learn and practice skills for more complex rescues including the NANCE DRILL.  The class will also teach students survival skills including entanglements and Firefighter Rapid Emergency Egress (Bailouts).
